The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Work Experience Coordinator to join our Additional Learning Support department at the Ealing campus.

The purpose of the role is to develop, secure and coordinate high-quality work experience placements for Additional Learning Support students, ensuring all learners have access to meaningful external placements that meet qualification requirements and support successful completion, achievement and progression outcomes, including EHCP outcomes.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and external partners to create placement opportunities.
  • Source, secure and match suitable industry placements for Foundation Learning students.
  • Deliver employability sessions and workshops to small groups of learners
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure placements align with course requirements.
  • Monitor student attendance, progress and completion of required placement hours.
  • Coordinate employer and student reviews throughout placements.
  • Conduct placement administration including agreements, records, compliance and tracking documentation.
  • Support employers and students before, during and after placements.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and quality requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting linked to funding and audit requirements
  • Support interns on the West London College Supported Internship one day per week
