About the role:

As a Student Advisor (Enrichment), you'll be at the forefront of guiding students towards holistic growth and development. Your role goes beyond academic counselling; you'll empower students to explore diverse opportunities for personal and professional enrichment, ensuring they thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively build positive relationships and rapport with students in the Student Support Centre and communal areas, modelling appropriate behaviours via informal and formal interactions.
  • Provide friendly, accurate, and up-to-date advice, guidance, support, and signposting to learners in the Open Plan Student Support Centre from a 1:1 Support Desk on a rotational basis.
  • Assist learners in completing internal application forms for financial funds such as the 16-19 Bursary, 19+  Learner Support Fund, West London Trust Fund, and 24+ Bursary Fund.
  • Provide break/lunchtime enrichment activities on a rotational basis in the designated communal areas, engaging with students to ensure that their leisure time is spent constructively and helping them maintain appropriate standards of behaviour.
  • Establish and maintain clear boundaries and expectations around attendance and punctuality, effectively challenge behaviour and regularly signpost students to support services, enrichment activities/events and employability opportunities.
  • Take appropriate and timely action to safeguard students, providing consistent and professional service to all students. Identify and report any Safeguarding concerns using the College’s internal and external procedures.

What we offer:

We value our team and offer a wide range of benefits to recognise the hard work they put into supporting our learners. As a member of the support team, you will receive the following:
