For candidates who are not teacher qualified, don’t be put off from applying as WCG will get you there through our Trainee Lecturer programme. The successful post holder will move on to the Trainee Lecturer programme to achieve the required DET qualification (for posts of greater than a 0.5 fraction).
The Business & Travel department wish to recruit a fractional Business Lecturer to teach business subjects mainly at Level 3 but with the flexibility to teach at Level 2. The teacher needs to be dynamic and enthusiastic and want to improve all aspects of the students’ learning experience.

Our Rugby College campus offers specialist facilities for engineering, construction, hair and beauty and performing arts. This includes 150-seat theatre and superb engineering facilities, including the cutting edge Power Academy.
Rugby College has excellent transport links and is located on a relatively new development within walking distance of Rugby rail station and close to Junction One and Elliott's Field retail parks on the A426 Leicester Road.
Essential Attainments:
- A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
- GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English
- Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to undertake the courses required to gain this
- Strong Administrative skills, including IT skills
- A willingness to undertake continuing professional development
- Ability to relate well with staff and students and to work effectively as a member of a team with the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent understanding of BTEC level 3 in business (2016) with an emphasis on Finance and external examinations
Desirable Attainments:
- Previous successful teaching experience within an appropriate area
- Proven success in supporting students and optimising student performance
- Knowledge or background in the subject areas indicated
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Flexibility and a willingness and ability to teach across levels; deliver external qualifications
- Completing references etc for the UCAS application system
- Excellent understanding for BTEC Level 3 Business (2016)
- Knowledge and use of cloud technologies such as G-Suite (Google apps) for education, for teaching and learning
