• Embed English and Maths within all curriculum areas, working collaboratively with College leaders and curriculum teams.

• Ensure timetables, teaching delivery, and interventions enable every student to fully access their English and Maths provision.

• Champion a positive, engaging, and inclusive approach to English and Maths across the College community.

• Oversee quality assurance, assessment, and data processes to ensure robust monitoring and continuous improvement.

• Act as the Department’s Safeguarding and Prevent Lead, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.

• Significant experience in managing English and/or Maths provision within a further education or secondary setting.

• A proven track record of improving teaching quality, learner outcomes, and staff performance.

• Strong people management and communication skills with the ability to lead change and inspire excellence.

• A commitment to the values of Ambition, Accountability, Inclusion and Integrity.

• A recognised teaching qualification and relevant subject specialism.
