West London College is currently looking for a dynamic and visionary individual to join us as our Deputy Safeguarding Lead. This is a crucial position that will help us achieve excellence in education by making sure that every learner's journey is transformative, engaging, and empowering.
Key Purpose:
• To deputise for the Head of Safeguarding (DSL) as necessary and to act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when the Head of Safeguarding is absent or unavailable.
• To promote a safe college environment with a strong culture of awareness, where safeguarding students is understood as the highest priority for everyone.
• To support the provision of the College strategy for student services, supporting and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of this in line with the College’s Strategic Plan and curriculum Plan and line with the College values, providing the highest standard of learning experience for students.
• To report and work closely with |the Head of Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Attendance, and the rest of the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team, to provide a frontline safeguarding response, ensuring students are safe, secure and supported in line with current legislation in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2020) and other key statutory guidance.
