The Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are inviting applications for the post of Deputy Head Foundation & Business — a key leadership role supporting the continued development and success of our curriculum provision.

As Deputy Head, you will work closely with the Head of Department to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and achievement. You will contribute to shaping an inclusive and ambitious departmental culture, supporting curriculum planning, quality assurance and staff development, while ensuring our learners and apprentices thrive and progress.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Promote and uphold high expectations of staff and students across all curriculum areas
  • Support the planning and delivery of a responsive, inclusive curriculum offer
  • Maintain strong links with stakeholders and industry partners
  • Lead and line manage Programme Leaders, teaching staff and support staff
  • Drive departmental improvement planning and quality processes
  • Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and wellbeing
  • Represent the department and deputise for the Head of Department as required

These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Children’s Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
