Job Title: Student Recruitment and Admissions Manager
Salary: £42,843 - £46,447 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week

About the Role
West London College is seeking an experienced and dynamic Student Recruitment and Admissions Manager to lead our student recruitment, admissions, and information, advice, and guidance (IAG) services across all college sites.
You will manage a welcoming, efficient, and compliant service, ensuring that enquiries are handled effectively, applications are processed accurately, and enrolments are completed smoothly. Working collaboratively with marketing, curriculum, data and funding, MIS, and other college teams, you will maximise applicant conversion at each stage of the student journey while maintaining high standards of compliance, data integrity, and customer service.
This is a key leadership role, overseeing a busy team, supporting staff development, and continuously improving processes to ensure a positive, student-focused experience from first contact to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, support, and develop the Student Recruitment and Admissions team, including appraisals, performance management, and one-to-one support.
- Plan and allocate staff and workloads to maximise productivity and first point-of-contact resolution.
- Support team compliance with GDPR, funding rules, safeguarding, fraud prevention, and internal financial procedures.
- Student Recruitment & Admissions
- Deliver a comprehensive, impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG) service across all college sites.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of applications, interviews, enrolments, and associated data.
- Monitor the application pipeline, conversion performance, and response times, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with marketing, curriculum, data and funding, student services, finance, and flexible learning teams to support a seamless student journey.
- Operational Excellence
- Review and enhance departmental processes, CRM workflows, and digital systems to improve efficiency, customer experience, and compliance.
- Maintain high standards of communication and call handling, setting service standards and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Coordinate staff cover and rota planning, particularly during peak enrolment periods, and maintain business continuity plans.
- Events & Stakeholder Engagement
- Oversee staffing support for enrolment, open days, and other recruitment events.
- Act as a key member of enrolment working groups and contribute to strategic planning for recruitment cycles.
- Provide guidance and support at internal and external student recruitment events.
- General Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for students and colleagues.
- Travel across college sites as required and work occasional evenings and weekends to meet business needs.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the post.
