About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated ALS Assistant to join our ALS and Inclusive Learning team at our Hammersmith campus.
The role involves providing targeted English and Maths support for learners who have been assessed and identified as requiring Additional Learning Support (ALS). Working closely with teaching staff and ALS Coordinators, you will help learners overcome barriers to learning, develop their literacy, numeracy and study skills, and achieve their full potential.
ALS Assistants provide a complementary service to teaching staff, contributing to effective classroom support and high-quality learner outcomes.
The person:
You will have:
You will have experience working with learners, ideally within a further education or support setting, and be confident supporting learners with a range of additional needs.
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience supporting learners with English and Maths (desirable)
Good IT skills and a willingness to develop further
A commitment to ongoing professional development
